It is another beautiful fall day in Georgia. Granna has gone home with Cinderella and Candystick and I have the place to myself. Granna abandoned me after noting that I would be tied to the property all day. I started about 8:30 this morning burning my pile of leaves and logs. The leaves went fast but the logs underneath were wet on the inside from months of waiting for the burn season to open and getting numerous wettings from the rains we have had this year. I just returned from checking on the fire and the only thing left is the drier portion of a log. I will let it burn until dark when I will have to extinguish the fire. I wanted to get them burned before the arrival of another rain that is scheduled for Monday evening.
I am not sure if I smell the smoke from the fire or just myself. I have a hunch that I smell myself, but, having no one else in the house to sniff me, who cares!
WINDOWS 7
I installed Microsoft Windows 7 this week. I upgraded my system from Windows Vista and overall the upgrade went smoothly with a couple of exceptions. I have yet to resolve a problem that I experienced with RealPlayer and playing DVDs. RealPlayer will work correctly if I have loaded a video to the hard drive of the computer and it will play CDs without a hitch. However, when I insert a DVD into the disk drive to play a movie, I have no sound and have been unable to rectify the problem. I have removed RealPlayer from the computer and re-downloaded and installed it again, but the results were the same. Yes, I do have other video programs installed on the computer and they all work correctly. I did find a few references on the Internet stating that Windows 7 was not compatible with RealPlayer. They appear to be true.
FALL BEAUTY
I trust everyone is capable of enjoying the fall beauty that surrounds us during this time of year. The barrenness of the winter months will soon be upon us and we will be faced with finding beauty in the snow or bleak trees.

I heard a flock of Canadian geese heading south while I was in the yard. I never spotted them, but could hear their honking as they passed above me. Yes, it is just another sure sign that fall is here and winter is coming.
Until next time…enjoy
